Marco: We’re now in the border and we have some bad news guys
Previously on Map The Unknown…
We are going to hitchhike the whole Argentina. Starting from Ushuaia, crossing the Chile border
Marco needs a Chilean visa. It’s a really long route with many deserted areas
Marco: This is the start of our journey of hitchhiking from Ushuaia to the North of Argentina
Marco: We’re starting our hitchhiking with some rain.
Marco: So this is our first challenge, hitchhiking under the rain
Marco: We have an awesome sign! We have a white board.
Good thing it didn’t take long before a truck driver gave us a ride
becasue we we’re not prepared for this weather
Marco: Now we’re in Tolhuin. Good thing it’s not raining anymore.
Marco: We are still here in Toulhin and it’s been 2 hours.
Fran: We are three couples hitchhiking on the same route. We don’t know how this is gonna go.
Fran: Well, it’s very windy! We’re not even halfway
After 10 hours of hitchhiking under the rain, in the cold, and strong Patagonian winds,
we arrived to the Chilean border but unfortunately, Marco had some Visa complications.
Marco: My Visa is multiple entry but the renewal (extension) was NOT multiple entry which was confusing.
Marco: If I leave Argentina, I cannot go back.
Marco: So we are now stuck in the border of Argentina and Chile.
Fran: I feel stuck, it feels bad… to have come here and now we have to go back
Fran: But well, let’s wear the best face and hitchhike again. And if not, we will spend the night here. Let’s hope we don’t get cold and that everything goes well!
Our first hitchhiking day showed us that hitchhiking the whole Argentina won’t be easy
But we won’t give up! When you have a goal, these situations are not problems,
they become challenges to help you grow and move forward.
Fran: So it seems like we’re going to spend the night here. There’s almost no one else at the border.
Fran: We are the only ones left here.

Marco: ahora estamos en la frontera y tenemos algunas malas noticias
Previamente en el Map The Unknown …
Vamos a hacer autostop a toda la Argentina. Partiendo desde Ushuaia, cruzando la frontera con Chile.
Marco necesita una visa chilena. Es una ruta muy larga con muchas zonas desiertas.
Marco: Este es el comienzo de nuestro viaje de autoestop de Ushuaia al norte de Argentina.
Marco: Estamos empezando nuestro autoestop con algo de lluvia.
Marco: Así que este es nuestro primer desafío, hacer autostop bajo la lluvia.
Marco: ¡Tenemos una señal impresionante! Tenemos una pizarra blanca.
No estábamos preparados para este clima, pero menos mal que no pasó mucho tiempo
antes de que un camionero nos levantara.
Marco: Ahora estamos en Tolhuin. Menos mal que ya no llueve.
Marco: Todavía estamos aquí en Toulhin y han pasado 2 horas.
Fran: Somos tres parejas haciendo autostop en la misma ruta. No sabemos cómo va a ir esto.
Fran: Bueno, hace mucho viento! Ni siquiera estamos a mitad de camino (Rio Grande)
Después de 10 horas haciendo dedo bajo la lluvia, con mucho frío, y fuertes vientos patagónicos.
Llegamos a la frontera con Chile, pero desafortunadamente, Marco tuvo algunas complicaciones con la Visa.
Marco: Mi Visa es múltiple, pero la renovación (extensión) no fue múltiple entrada, lo que es confuso!
Marco: Si me voy de Argentina, no puedo volver a entrar.
Marco: así que ahora quedamos estancados en la frontera Argentina y Chile.
Fran: Me siento estancada, se siente medio feo… haber llegado hasta acá y tener que volver
Fran: Pero bueno a poner la mejor cara y hacer dedo de nuevo. Y sino pasaremos la noche acá, esperemos que tengamos frío y que todo salga bien!
Nuestro primer día haciendo dedo nos mostró que hacer dedo por Argentina de punta a punta no va a ser fácil.
¡Pero no nos vamos a rendir! Cuando tenes un objetivo, estas situaciones no son problemas,
sino que se convierten en desafíos para crecer y seguir avanzando.
Fran: así que parece que vamos a pasar la noche acá… no hay nadie casi en la frontera…
Fran: somos nosotros solos que quedamos acá.
